Why this exists

Every FBTops guide cites official TikTok Shop US documentation for its dates, thresholds and workflows. Those source documents change without notice: a page date moves, a title is updated, an article is retired. Most of the time nothing about the underlying rule changed — but sometimes it did, and the only way to know is to check.

This page is that check, made public. It is not a TikTok product, and FBTops is independent and not affiliated with TikTok. It exists so another seller, tool builder or reporter can see exactly what changed, on which date, in a source FBTops already relies on — without re-doing the verification work.

Some observations look like a change but are not one. The clearest example: a contract’s hosting page can get a new CMS timestamp without the contract itself changing. FBTops verifies the document’s own “Last updated” or effective statement before touching a published citation date, and logs the cases where it chose not to.

How we verify

1. Re-fetch. Every registered source is requested directly, without relying on a search-engine cache or an AI summary.
2. Extract, don’t guess. The page date comes from TikTok Academy’s own article-date element where present. Where a document states its own “Last updated” or effective date, that separate value is captured too.
3. Confirm before flipping status. A source is only marked removed or restored after two independent fetches agree. A single unusual response is treated as unstable and left unchanged, not recorded as a fact.
4. Never auto-apply a contract date. If a hosting page’s stamp moves on a terms or policy document, that is logged for review. The published citation only changes if the document’s own effective-date statement changed too.
5. Log first observations separately from changes. The first time FBTops records a source’s date, that is a baseline, not evidence that TikTok changed anything.
