TikTok Shop Policy Change Tracker
Direct answer: FBTops cites 40 official TikTok Shop US source documents across its guides. This page tracks the date each one currently displays and logs every change observed since Aug 9, 2026: 16 confirmed changes across 13 sources, plus 1 case where a source’s hosting-page stamp moved but its own document text did not, so the citation was deliberately left unchanged.
Why this exists
Every FBTops guide cites official TikTok Shop US documentation for its dates, thresholds and workflows. Those source documents change without notice: a page date moves, a title is updated, an article is retired. Most of the time nothing about the underlying rule changed — but sometimes it did, and the only way to know is to check.
This page is that check, made public. It is not a TikTok product, and FBTops is independent and not affiliated with TikTok. It exists so another seller, tool builder or reporter can see exactly what changed, on which date, in a source FBTops already relies on — without re-doing the verification work.

Every row below is a change FBTops actually applied to its own citations after independent verification. Sorted most recent first.

Reviewed, citation deliberately not changed
Some observations look like a change but are not one. The clearest example: a contract’s hosting page can get a new CMS timestamp without the contract itself changing. FBTops verifies the document’s own “Last updated” or effective statement before touching a published citation date, and logs the cases where it chose not to.
| Observed | Source | Page stamp moved to | Why the citation stayed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aug 17, 2026 | Seller Terms of Service for TikTok Shop (US) | Aug 11, 2026 | Contract document: the hosting page stamp moved but the document still states its previous effective date. The published citation must NOT be changed. |
Full source register
Every official source currently cited by an FBTops US guide, with its authority level, document type, current tracked date and how many confirmed changes FBTops has recorded for it. “A” denotes a controlling policy or contract; “B” denotes official operational or API documentation.
- Manage Warehouses: Deactivate a Pickup Warehouse or Delete a Return Warehouse — removed by TikTok (confirmed HTTP 404 on two independent checks). Its scope was absorbed by US Warehouse Management, still cited above.
How we verify
- Re-fetch. Every registered source is requested directly, without relying on a search-engine cache or an AI summary.
- Extract, don’t guess. The page date comes from TikTok Academy’s own
article-dateelement where present. Where a document states its own “Last updated” or effective date, that separate value is captured too. - Confirm before flipping status. A source is only marked removed or restored after two independent fetches agree. A single unusual response is treated as unstable and left unchanged, not recorded as a fact.
- Never auto-apply a contract date. If a hosting page’s stamp moves on a terms or policy document, that is logged for review. The published citation only changes if the document’s own effective-date statement changed too.
- Log first observations separately from changes. The first time FBTops records a source’s date, that is a baseline, not evidence that TikTok changed anything.
The verification script is part of the same codebase that builds this site. Re-running it and republishing this page is how the table above stays current — the numbers on this page are generated from that data file at publish time, not typed in by hand.
What this tracker is not
- It is not a restatement of TikTok Shop policy. For the actual rules, see the reimbursement policy and deadlines guide, the fees guide or the Fulfilled by TikTok guide.
- It is not a complete map of every TikTok Shop Academy article — only the sources FBTops cites.
- It is not legal, tax or compliance advice, and it does not predict what TikTok will change next.
- It is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance.
Policy change tracker FAQ
What is the TikTok Shop Policy Change Tracker?
A public log of the 40 official TikTok Shop US source documents FBTops cites across its guides, showing the date each one currently displays and every change FBTops has observed since it started tracking. It reports what changed, not why, and it does not replace reading the linked source directly.
What is the difference between a page date and an effective date?
A page date is the timestamp TikTok’s content system shows on the hosting page. An effective date is the date a contract document states it took effect. The two can move independently: the Seller Terms of Service page stamp moved twice in August 2026 while the document itself continued to state it took effect on January 22, 2026, and FBTops did not change that citation either time.
How often is this updated?
FBTops re-fetches every tracked source, confirms any apparent availability change with a second independent request before recording it, and logs the result. The registry has been reviewed 3 times so far and is checked at least monthly, matching the recheck cadence already used for FBTops’ cornerstone guides.
Does a source appearing here mean FBTops verified every claim on that page?
No. This tracker records the document’s own displayed date and title, not every clause inside it. A specific policy figure, deadline or formula is verified separately, on the FBTops guide that cites it, with its own dated source record.
Can I cite or reuse this data?
Yes, with attribution to FBTops and a link to this page. The underlying dataset is not a TikTok product; it is FBTops’ own observation log of publicly available TikTok Shop documentation.
What happens when TikTok removes a cited source?
FBTops confirms the removal with a second independent request before recording it, marks the source removed on this page, and notes which current document, if any, absorbed its scope. The FBTops guide that originally cited it is updated separately.
Reconciling against a source that just changed?
If a settlement, fee or claim figure on your account no longer matches what an official source now says, walk it through the settlement reconciliation guide first, then request a bounded account review to confirm whether anything actually shifted.
